My Work-from-Home Journey – January 2025 Update

January was a crazy month! Between taking care of the kids, managing the house, and just trying to keep up with life, I didn’t get as much done as I had hoped. But that’s okay! This journey is about consistency and progress, not perfection.
Since I’ll be sharing these updates every month, this will be a great way to track my growth and hold myself accountable. Even though my YouTube and blog aren’t monetized yet, I know that small steps add up over time.
Here’s a look at how my work-from-home efforts went in January!

📌 Marketing pins created: 0
I made a small amount from Etsy this month, which is exciting because it means things are starting to move! However, I only uploaded two new listings, and I didn’t create any marketing pins so I definitely want to improve on that next month.

⏳ Watch time: 1.5 hours
📈 New subscribers: 0
👥 Total subscribers: 31
Not going to lie—I completely dropped the ball on YouTube this month. With everything going on, I just couldn’t find the time to film and edit videos. But even without posting, my channel still got 34 views and 1.5 hours of watch time, which is a reminder that content keeps working even when I’m not!

I managed to post 9 blog posts, which I’m really happy about! However, my blog still isn’t getting much traffic yet. I didn’t do any marketing or create Pinterest pins, which is something I’ll work on in February.
Affiliate Marketing

I didn’t make any money from affiliates this month, mostly because I didn’t write any affiliate-focused posts or promote any links. This is a huge area of potential income, so I need to start being more intentional about adding affiliate links to my content

I didn’t do anything for my Amazon Storefront this month, so no surprise that I didn’t make anything from it. This is another area I want to focus on more in the future.
Total Income for January: 💰 $22
While $22 isn’t a lot, it’s a start! This is just the beginning, and I know that as I stay consistent, my income will grow.
Goals for February:
✅ Upload at least 4 Etsy listings
✅ Create marketing pins for Etsy, YouTube, and blog posts
✅ Post at least 1 YouTube video
✅ Work on driving more traffic to my blog
✅ Write at least one affiliate post
January may have been a slow start, but I’m not giving up! Every month is a chance to do better, learn, and grow.
