📚 Everything I Read Last Month (Spicy Romance Edition 🌶️🔥)
3 min read
If you love spicy romance, tension, chaos, and books that completely consume your life, then this is your sign to add all of these to your TBR.
Last month I read 13 books… and somehow every single one was a 5-star read.
I don’t know who I am anymore either 😅
This was definitely a high spice, slightly dark, super addictive reading month, and I’m breaking down all of them for you — including spice levels (because priorities).
❄️ Poetry on Ice
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This follows Robbie and Ant — two rival ice hockey players.
Ant hates Robbie (for reasons I won’t spoil), and when Robbie gets traded to his team… yeah, it’s chaos. They’re constantly fighting, can’t work together, and their coach literally forces them to share a room until they sort it out.
And as expected…
fighting turns into something else 👀
My thoughts:
One of my top 3 of the month. This book was actually so funny — Ant’s internal monologue had me laughing the whole time.
Low angst, high spice, super fun.
⚠️ Don't You Dare
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
A college romance about two best friends who start exploring their feelings (and sexuality) through a series of dares.
There’s baseball, tension, chaos, and a LOT of “this could ruin everything” energy.
My thoughts:
The tension in this?? So good. Friends-to-lovers with risks always hits.
🚪 Knock Knock
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Nate and Xavi have spent their whole lives taking care of everyone else… until suddenly they don’t have to anymore.
With freedom for the first time, they start figuring out what they actually want — and realise their connection might be more than just friendship.
My thoughts:
I loved the emotional shift in this. It’s soft but still spicy and really addictive.
🏁 Garron Park
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Devon and Maddox are rivals in literally every part of life — until one night forces them together.
Set in a rough trailer park environment, this one has violence, tension, and serious emotional depth.
My thoughts:
The chemistry + storyline = addictive. I was hooked.
🖤 Lot 66
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
This continues Devon and Maddox’s story — now living together and dealing with real-life pressures, trauma, and threats.
It’s messy, emotional, and intense.
My thoughts:
Loved seeing their relationship evolve. Still chaotic, still addictive.
🔥 For the Fans
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Stepbrothers. Enemies. Forced proximity.
Kyran (football star, control freak) and Avi (chaotic, carefree artist) are complete opposites — and stuck together.
When financial issues force them into a very questionable situation… everything changes.
My thoughts:
My #1 book of the month.
Also the spiciest book I read — like actually insane 🌶️🔥
The tension, the dynamic, EVERYTHING.
🖤 Kiss the Villain
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (Dark)
A “golden boy” law student with a dark side meets a criminal professor who knows exactly who he really is.
Power plays, secrets, and a very dangerous dynamic.
My thoughts:
Top 3. Dark, intense, and completely consuming.
⛓️ The Convict
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (Dark)
An escaped convict kidnaps a mechanic to help him escape… and things get complicated very quickly.
Forced proximity, danger, and tension everywhere.
My thoughts:
Dark, gritty, and very spicy. Definitely for darker romance lovers.
🛟 Rescued
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
A story about escaping abuse, healing, and finding love again.
Archer and Brooklyn’s connection builds through vulnerability and emotional growth.
My thoughts:
My least favourite, but only because it took me longer to get into.
Still a really beautiful story once it picked up.
🏒 Changing the Game
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
A hockey romance between teammates navigating attraction, career pressure, and emotional baggage.
My thoughts:
Loved the pacing and chemistry — super easy to get into.
⚔️ Crossing Blades
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ (Dark)
Ex-lovers turned rivals forced back into close proximity.
Add hockey, unresolved feelings, and intense chemistry… and it’s chaos.
My thoughts:
Dark, emotional, and very spicy. I loved it.
🏒 Common Goal
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
A veteran hockey player and a younger grad student start a casual arrangement… that obviously doesn’t stay casual.
My thoughts:
Loved the dynamic and emotional build.
🏆 Role Model
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
A grumpy hockey player + sunshine social media manager.
This one is all about growth, identity, and softening walls.
My thoughts:
Such a good mix of emotional and spicy.
